For those of us who fell in love with Apple products, today is a sad day.

Still have my first Apple II. We will all miss him.

My wife still prefers the Apple II+ keyboard modified with a Videx encoder board. Uses it for word processing.

Sad day, indeed, especially for his immediate family, but also for his Apple "family" and the world. Genius like that comes along so seldom, especially when it creates good (inspite of those who would pervert the technology).

RIP, Steve Jobs.

Godspeed to those still in harm's way in the defense of Freedom everywhere! God Rest Steve Job's soul. God Bless America! :FlagAm:

If it weren't for Judge Roy Bean and Gen. US Grant, we probably would not have SASS. If it weren't for Steve Jobs, we would not have www.sassnet.com, at least probably not in its current form.

I was listening to the Mark Levin show last night when I first heard of his passing, and Levin made a profound statement. For most of us, the legacy we leave behind is our family, and little else. That is not a bad thing, nor is it a sign of failure; that is simply the way it is. There are those few, however, that are remembered for literally hundreds of years because of their impact to the cultural landscape. US history alone is full of individuals whose legacys are taught in history classes in almost every high school in America...Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Eli Whitney...all of these individuals made enormous impacts to the cultural, economic, and industrial landscapes in America. Steve Jobs will definitely join this elite group in American history.

Rest in peace, sir. Well done.

Yea, and Windows 98 was invented on a MAC in 1984. I started my computing education on a MAC Plus, 9" B&W screen with 3-1/2" floppy disks and I have never looked back. When it's time for my next new laptop it will be another Powerbook Pro.

Steven Jobs 1955- 2011 RIP.

We seem to lose the GOOD GUYS too soon. He made an impact by just speaking. He will not be forgotten for a long time.

How are you doing? Long time since I have been blessed to be in your presence. Is the back better? After 40+ years of pain I have learned to live with mine.
