OT - Thumbhole Stocks

Recommended Posts

A general question for any pards who might know ...

That big span of plastic on some stocks that goes from the grip to the butt like on a Beretta CX4 Carbine - is that there to satisy some ATF "sporting" reg?

Can the owner saw that off without violating some other reg?

I have the same piece of excess plastic on my HK USC .45 Carbine. Yes, removing this piece of nonsence puts your firearm in the "any other weapon" catagory, which requires a special federal licance.

In my case, it would also void the factory warrantee from HK, not sure about Beretta.
