Wild orchids in my yard

I took this today, it's a Texas Ladies Tress, a member of the orchid family of flowers. They pop up around here every spring. Apparently they have no idea of the purpose of the Red River. Oh well, I'll let these Texans pop up anytime. :)

Also in the fall these pop up around the yard. It's a Red Spider Lily, a member of the Amaryllis group of flowers.

I get these little yellow flowers. I think the feller from the County called them dandelions.

All over the place too.

Been thinking of planting some tulips and dahlias this next season.

Nice pictures Pulp.

The squirrels keep planting nuts and seeds in my yard. I get a surprise ever so often. And the holly bushes go just wild.

If I could find a commercial use for holly, I could be a lumber baron.

I read on another forum that holly makes a beautiful white revolver grip that yellows with age, just like ivory.
