In an effort to minimize my exposure to lead, I put it out on the stoop of the back overhead door to the shop, and closed the door. Plan was to take it out after 2, 3, or at most 4 hours, so I didn't even consider that the sprinklers would go off at 6. Well, it's 9.30 and I just remembered it... the outside of the tumbler was damp, but the inside was bone dry, and the brass was really shiney!
