Dish Networks

Yeah, yeah, way OT. But I know some of you live out in the sticks like me and some of you have it. We have lost a bunch of channels, some work, some have a screen that comes up and says Complete Signal Loss. I suspect a switch problem, it switches from sat a to sat b, but when we call in all available #s we can find are busy(for an hour or so now) and chat is offline too.And usually they pick up right away

Just wondering if anyone else is having issues....and I'll Google to see if they have any forums too

I dunno. I switched over to DirecTV when Dish Network pulled the PBR broadcasts just before the finals a few years ago.

The fact that their lines are busy would indicate a system problem. A biggun.

Same problem, tried the 800 number but it was busy. Only my HD TV set was out the others worked. Went out for a while, it's on now.

And I too abandoned dish for direcTV

If your Dish Network-connected TV is claiming total signal loss, then at least take comfort in the fact that you're not alone. While the company hasn't revealed exactly what the problem is, Facebook and Twitter posts indicate a "technical issue" with satellite location 129. The really bad news comes when we learned that bird is responsible for carrying many HD channels and HD locals (check the links below for a list of all channels on 129). Switching over to SD channels will let you watch (if that can really be called watching TV) most content in the short term -- DBSTalk posters advise hitting menu and selecting 1 on your remote to pull up the guide if you're having trouble. If you currently hide standard-def channels, press menu, then 8, then 1 and uncheck the "HD only" box to see the working channels for now. We'll keep checking for any updates on the situation, but for now you're on your own in a 480-line wilderness, so good luck.

The only issue we had with satellite was the price. We cancelled it, don't miss it, family doesn't watch as much tv. It's been good thing.

No choice here. Too far out for over-air reception and no cable. :(

Ah cable. I worked for a cable company for 15 years, but no cable where I am.

Their sat 129 is still out, they've done some rerouting magic, I get all the channels but not in HD. I lived here for 10 years with one NBC channel, I still rarely watch NBC.

They pulled Pabst Blue Ribbon? Oh. The agony! Actually I had to Google it because I thought it had gone the way of Olympia beer.

Still no Sat 129, I think there is a conspiracy to keep us from finding out aliens from Planet X took it for nefarious reasons. I do!

I was told buy a Dish rep. that sat. #129 has been lost.

I don't know if Dish can move a sat. to cover for the dead one, or they have to reroute the sig from other sat's.

Dish N/W last to trys to put more sat's up failed, BTW.

Was watching(till TONIGHT)Deadwood too <_< HBO chl 308 is GONE

Cheers,

LG
