Uniquetek Dillon replacement toolhead

Smokin Gator SASS #29736

I use the machined one with the lock bolts when loading 5.56. I also use the bearing support for the shell holder to decrease variations in OAL. I see improvement in the rounds when using both together.

Stick with the Dillon OEM stuff.

IF you know how to adjust the OEM shell plate(s)(where it just rotates "free"). You'll never have an issue.

A bearing on top of the shell plate doesn't due a thing to controll OAL, BTW ;)

Respectfully,

I find the bearing reduces "jump" and spilled powder in full cases.

So does a couple drops of oil on the center bolt

NEVER had an issue in the 20+ years run'n a Dillon. You just got to know how to lube it ;)

Got my 1st Dillon in '72, still using it and a 650. I guess there's not a lot of difference, but enough that I can tell. Some years 3,000 to 4,000 - some years 15,000 to 20,000 rounds. Maybe I need more bench time ;) I can tell the difference, and I like it. Less oil in the press = less cleaning :D
