Utah Bob #35998
First I was stuck with audio cassettes. Then I was stuck with VHS tapes. Now I'm gonna get stuck with DVDs. Progress sure van be expensive. (at least I never had an 8-track)

Okie Sawbones, SASS #77381
(at least I never had an 8-track) Had one of those in my '73 Camaro. One of my first 8-tracks was a Moody Blues tape that had Knights in White Satin -- still like that song.

One of my first 8-tracks was a Moody Blues tape that had Knights in White Satin -- still like that song. I had that cassette...! The old 8-track tapes would eventually wear themselves out... just the nature of their design with the single spool. But a vast improvement over Mr Lear's original 4-track! I seem to recall having a device called a "gidget" that would allow playing 4-track tapes in the new-fangled 8-track machine...
