Pit Bull Tex
Dumb again. Whats the differance between a 76 and a 73? Just asking. I would not even know how to make loads for a 40-60.Very nice looking gun.Is that a long range cal?Sorry to bother you.
Dirty Dan Dawkins
Larger identical action to a 73. Long rang? Depends on how far you can or (want) to shoot. I'd thing 40-60 be fun for lever action silhouette shooting or deer sized game to 200 yards.
Joe LaFives #5481
The 1876 is a long range gun in SASS not a main match gun. Think of a 73 with a thyroid condition. Everything is around 15% bigger. The 40-60 cartridge can be found in smokeless and Black Powder from Ten X http://www.tenxammo.com/files/Shooter_Direct_Pricing_05052011.pdf or from Buffalo Arms in smokeless or BP http://www.buffaloarms.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=158028&CAT=4446 The dies are also available from Buffalo Arms
