Dalton Masterson, SASS #51139
I am reloading a few 44 Colt cartridges for a friend, and have everything done up to the crimp. Will a 44 Mag Lee factory crimp die work on this short little cartridge, or will I have to source something else? Thanks, DM
Yellowhouse Sam # 25171
Never tried a factory crimp. Thinking the mag is too long and don't know if Lee makes a factory crimp die. I just use 44 Russian dies and roll crimp.
Dalton Masterson, SASS #51139
I was wondering about it being too long as well. Midway doesnt show a Lee 44 Russian crimp die. Do you use the Lee 44 Russian dies? Thanks, DM

Marshal Phil DeGrave SASS #55202
I bought a factory crimp die and stuck it to the grinder until it was at the proper length.

Middlefork Bob, SASS #53945
I have used the 44 Russian seating die and it puts a nice roll crimp on the colt and special brass.
