Need help pricing 1894 Marlin CBC

Recommended Posts

A shooter at my club wants to buy my Marlin 1894 CBC .38 spl with lightened springs and a one piece firing pin. The gun runs beautifully but I'm looking to sell it and get another 73. Any ideas on what I should ask for it? Thanks for your help, pards!

I have two, one I use that I paid $675 for about six months ago, and a NIB one I paid $850 for about 2 years ago. I have been offered $975 for the new one. If yours is really nice it could bring $800-900 from the right buyer.

The CBC wasn't made in .357.

He must mean Cowboy Limited. The CBCs didn't have 24" barrels, either.

Look at Gunsamerica & Gunbroker sites.

With the Marlin Lever rife shut down last week(for the rest of the year, at least)due to massive QC issues.

I would say they are worth more today than last week. :o

I do know my 3 are not for sale ;)

Respectfully,

LG

I finally called Remington today to get the straight dope on the lever gun production rumors - 39's and 336's are still going to be produced, but 1894 and 1895 production have been suspended indefinitely effective August 12. There will be no 1894's or 1895's at least through the end of 2011.
