St. Louis Suomi SASS #31905
Howdy: iIn a word - Yup! That is what I use. I use a square load and have no problems. STL Suomi
Adirondack Jack, SASS #53440
Hint, it's spicey. Reduce the charge a little and add a bit more shot (compared to a square load) and yer gonna get more mass on target without blowing the pattern open..... Also beware over-compressing the stuff. More compression is more potency, along with higher pressures.
Charlie Harley, #14153
I use it in squared loads (equal volume shot and powder) along with a plastic wad. No problems.
Deacon Stone Sass#58681
Works great. But I do use alot more Pyrodex just becouse its alot cheaper. Either one in square loads will work fine and its not a bad load. Its what my daughter shoots and she does okay. Deacon Stone

Kougarok George
I use 777 3f as it really does a good job on knockdowns. I used to use Goex 2F and would sometimes leavem standn. Nitro card, fibre wad, and shotcup.
Chaos Jumbles SASS # 51076
Yes, 777 can be used in shotshells, but real black powder is less than half the price of 777, unless you have some 777 you got cheap. For shotgun loads, I do not see any reason to use 777 because of the cost. In a rifle 777 allows you to use smokeless bullet which are cheaper and easier to find than black powder bullets. Unless, of course, you cast your own bullets. Chaos
