Old Scatterbrain
Do these need to be reamed as the .45 Colt cylinders do?

Old Scatterbrain
Better not!! They seat on the crimp! I'm not talking about boring them straight through, just opening the throats to the proper bullet diameter. That is to say, are the throats undersized from the box? Blackwater 53393
Have a competent gunsmith check the cylinder bores to make sure that they are sized properly to work with the forcing cone and the rifling in the barrel if you have any question. Slug the barrel and check the forcing cone. If the .45 acp cylinder is not from the same gun, have it fitted by a professional.
Colorado Coffinmaker
Usually ... Yes. But slug the bore first and you'll need to insure the forcing cone on the host barrel has been re-cut to 11 Degrees. Coffinmaker
