The Headline TV reporter shot delivering live Los Angeles weather report

The story:

FONTANA, Calif. — A Los Angeles television reporter was struck in the hand by a BB gun pellet Saturday afternoon while delivering a live weather report, officials said.

<_<

Will this mean that BB guns will now be classified as "Assault Weapons" There? :) MT

They have charged two teens with a felony.

The report I read said the camera man was hit also. Fontana is not one of the better places to be, depending on where she was. IF the youths were truly shooting AT her, that's an issue, BB gun or not. There are a whole lot of questions to be answered before/if we'll know what really happened.

Sure it's an issue and a bad thing. My point was in the headline. They could have said Reporter Shot with BB Gun but Reporter Shot Live on TV is so much more sexy.

Eeek- it's too bad 'sexy' can mean 'irresponsible' journalism

Hell, the legislature is trying to pass a bill now to make us paint all "BB guns" red or pink or some such BS feel good thing.

I remember reading an article in American Rifleman about anti-gun bias in the media. One newspaper headline was "Man shoots wife". The article was about a man who stabbed his wife, with no mention of a firearm.
