Caprock Leatherneck, SASS #54382
Our club had a table at a local Gun Show last week to build membership. We had a grand diplay of Cowboy Firearms. We had a shoot this week end. Let me tell you how a 25 sec stage can be turned into 59 sec. Leave the Tie wrap from the gun show on your shot gun! Yusta B.
Sometimes hard to believe what ends we go to just to entertain our posse .....

Shooting Bull
There is a famous historical saying for a situation like you describe. If I can remember it correctly it is "oops!" Yeah, growing up I heard my father use that phrase more times than I can count. Except with his accent it sounded more like, "Oh shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhugar." Adirondack Jack, SASS #53440
There is an evil part of me that has always wanted to loop a bit of monofilament fishing line around the lever of some pard's rifle with a quick half hitch after he's staged it, just to watch the fun.... I wouldn't of course, but it might be entertaining.
Lone Dog, SASS #20401
Jokers I shoot with have been known to close the lever latch on my staged 73. About a decade ago, a pard "adjusted" the sights on my Marlin. This was at a big match notorious for smaller and farther out there targets than we see these days. One time when it came time for the TO to toss up a water balloon for me to splat with me sg, the entire posse throwed up a balloon. It was like a multi-colored covey rise. Course I missed all of 'em since I was laughing so hard.
