Passing of a Great Cowboy Braveheart Bill

Glen Gray, SASS # 52394

Recommended Posts

It is with a very heavy heart that I pass on that Bill Wallace AKA Braveheart Bill passed away last night in his sleep. Bill as been suffering for the last 2 ½ years with heart and kidney problems.

Bill was a great cowboy and loved the game. He shot at many of the Georgia clubs. Bill believed in the cowboy way and he will be truly missed.

I will post the funeral arrangements as soon as they are available.

Two things I remember most about Bill.

1. His Quigley hat. Boy, did it look good on him.

2. Bill really LOVED kids getting into SASS.

Bill was a true pard right to the end. I am sure that Hotshoe Hannah was waiting for him with a BIG SMILE and HUG!!!! You will be missed my friend.

Sad news indead. Braveheart Bill was a fine example of a Cowboy. Shot with him many times and he was always in good humor and never heard a complaint or a cross word from him.

Prayers up for his family,

Badlands Bob

We will miss Bill.

He was a good guy. He was a retired cop with some significant experiences.

I enjoyed talking and shooting with him.

May God bless him, his family and friends.

:FlagAm: I had the opportunity to visit with Bill at his home early spring. His cowboy collection was neat but Bill collected WW II memorabilia and it was quite a collection. Mostly things that some people might take offense too. But taken as a whole and treated just as collectible material it was impressive.Bill was always kind and I believe a gentle soul.He worked for the railroad ,the Atl. Police dept.,and the Forest Park Police dept. On behalf of his friends the Los Vaqueros we wish him the peace that only the lord can grant.God speed friend. Talon,Kat and Molly Macleod
