Fidalgo Jim SASS #2026
Howdy Pards, I have had this big bowie for several years. Handmade in 1983. Not sure of the steel used but it has never rusted or stained on me. A friend told me it may be chrome steel as it is really shiney like a chrome bumper and is about 3/16" thick. Blade is 2 1/2" wide and 9 1/4" long. Total length 14 3/4". Appears to be rosewood grips rivited. The hilt and butt are solid brass. Blade runs full length. Big knife for big hands. I'm kind of medium sized cowboy and a little big for my hands. You can probably chop a tree down with this thing. It is heavy and very well made. Don't have a good scabbard but will come with what I kept it in which is re-enforced nylon and pretty sturdy itself. I would like to get $150 plus $15 to ship. I can take pay pal or check or money order. Personal checks will have to clear unless I know ya. http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss341/jimkight/bowie/P7300001.jpg http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss341/jimkight/bowie/P7300002.jpg http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss341/jimkight/bowie/P7300003.jpg http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss341/jimkight/bowie/P7300004.jpg

Pit Bull Tex
You know who made it?
Fidalgo Jim SASS #2026
Have no idea who made it, the letter F and the date 1983 are lightly etched into the blade close to the hilt. I have seen lots of big knives, but none made as well as this one for a utility knife.
Fidalgo Jim SASS #2026
Once more around, darned good knife, solid and heavy. Reminds me of the Western Cutlery Bowie, but much stronger, bigger and heavier.
