Sergeant Smokepole #29248L
Last night, a storm blew through the Chicago area and not only dumped 7 inches of rain on us, but also had multiple lightning strikes within a mile of us. Emergency Crews from Com Ed worked through the night to restore power that was out from 0120 until 0550. Police were going up and down the streets with emergency lights flashing looking for smoldering fires... This was one of those Wrath of God storms that you read about... Maybe it's a way of telling the voters to get rid of our politicians.... Yeah! Right.... I can dream, can't I????
Loophole LaRue, SASS #51438
Sgt.: I'm on Cape Cod right now, and it's pouring, with big time lightening and thunder - seems to be moving in from the west...must be your weather moving east. Nate Kiowa Jones #6765
Unless it had sustained 40 MPH winds it wouldn't even make a good tropical storm here on the Gulf Coast.
Guest jeweler jim
Sgt., We got close to ten inches out by our range between yesterday AM and last evening. Dry Gulch Ranch AIN'T (dry that is). Tomorrow's Good Guys Posse Match has been canceled, but we hope to get in the charity shoot next week end (Sunday the 31st). http://www.goodguysposse.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=8812

A week or ago ago, we had sustained winds of 70MPH rip through here.
