Briggsdale and National Day of the Cowboy

The Briggsdale County Shootists would like to invite you out to join us in celebrating the National Day of the Cowboy at our monthly shoot on Saturday, July 23. With stages named after the "Cowboy Code" you can't help but have fun as you shoot 'Be tough, but fair' or ' Finish what you start'.

Just bring along your sense of humor, all of your shootin' stuff and some of that stuff to keep the bugs at bay. Seems as if those 'dry washes' on the range have had some rain and have that water stuff in them. Mind you, it's not runnin', it's just standin' there, and that has made for a bumper crop of mosquitoes!

See ya' all Saturday!

Grizz, Appreciate the bump. Don't know why you haven't been out to see us. Hey, we've got running water and a luxurious club house that's kinda air conditioned! Well, it's at least a place to gather your thoughts before headin' for town for lunch!

Was a typical shoot by the Wizard & the Kid - lots o fun. They had to rebuild some road & some of the bales floated away. Seems with all the rain the other day - that big DRY wash behind the stages wasn't dry anymore. Kid said they had to work their butts off to clear the debris that piled up against the target stands. And yeah, a couple of those corn stalk bales, the ones that are about 5' square & about 7' long DID wash quite a ways down the parking area.

Wind was blowing to keep it sorta cool & we were done pretty early with the 5 stages ........

Oh yeah, & Mongo took a bunch of videos ......
