Gunner Gatlin, SASS 10274L
Well, since the change from regular to SBH hammers took place I figured the pistol didn;t need to have the same-old lookin' grips. However, I am not ready to buy new gunfighter style grips. A local shop here that we do business with has a laser marker and for fun did this up for me. He said the normal price for both panels would be $25. I took him up on it ~ the etch isn't very deep, but he said he could go as deep as I wanted next time...still, I like what he did. So much in fact that he is quoting me a price to do a 'barbed wire' or 'checkering' on the 'slippery' foreend of my '92 - on that I definately need deep. Send me a pm if your interested in him doing something for you. http://i275.photobuc...pagnew/grip.jpg He wasn;t sure how rosewood would come out and said that walnut doesn't get too black with the laser. He was surprised how dark the rosewood came out. GG ~
Gunner Gatlin, SASS 10274L
Pit Bull Tex just showed me what a REAL laser marked job looks like on his grips. Someday...someday I will be deserving of such fine work GG ~
