My opinion. That's what the "news media" was hoping for..........

This has always been a media show. Living in So. Fla. I can tell you most people here didn't care a fig about the trial. Yes, it was shocking that the victim was the little girl and most people assumed that Anthony would be found guilty, but, the prosecution blew it! Now nobody talks about it. We go on.

This is similar to the Weather Channel during non-hurricane season. They try to keep the thngs alive by re-living Andrew, Katrina, Wilma, Charlie etc.

Yes. But now that she's been acquitted, and if she did it, would she be able to legally tell the truth about it, now, without penalty?

Because she could make more money on a book/movie deal, I'm guessing. But then might she make up something to sound like she did it (for the money) even if she didn't, if money were a motivation?

Didn't work out well for OJ.

There is at least one case where a man was acquitted of raping and murdering his neighbor, but later convicted of perjury after souvenir photos of the crime were recovered. A symbolic, perhaps hollow victory...

Yes, but Casey didn't take the stand...... I don't know if there was a deposition or something that could result in a penalty if she later confessed, or "confessed."

Good point.

Whatever the case, a child should not have had to suffer!

Amen to that!

Correct. I take comfort in knowing her murderer will be judged again. I'll leave it at that.

whether she did it or not, the legal system ran its course, she was aquitted, case over, time to move on.

I'm concerned that America has become a place where the media focuses on the negative and mostly ignores the positive.

She could be sued by the grandparents for "wrongful death". OJ was and the family won.

Except nobody is sure they're innocent either.

Helluva mess.

The problem with that is, I believe the Grandparents were involved, or at least know the truth and tried to cover it up.I doubt that they will suit.

OK, where would they find a lawyer who would take the case, who would pay him/her? OJ had lots of $$, she's broke, even if you get a judgement, she's a high school drop out who with her notoriety can't get a job flipping burgers. Even if the jury found in her parents favor, they couldn't sentence her to jail, which is what everyone wants. It's over, she'll mess up again, but for now, move along, nothing more to see here.

Unfortunately. there are plenty of lawyers who would take the case simply for the publicity.

That really wasn't funny. It was ridiculous that we would believe he had to cut her to shreds to defend himself.

Totally understood where your comin' from....some things are so 'out of this world' sometimes one just has to laugh (while shaking their head in befuddlement)
