Utah Bob #35998 Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Saw the helicopters chasing the car. The media sure has changed since the OJ tral.

Gunner Gatlin, SASS 10274L Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 I don't give a rootin' rip about it.. GG ~
Yellowhouse Sam # 25171 Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 I don't give a rootin' rip about it.. GG ~ +1 but I would like for whole truth to be revealed...likely never happen. As to what happens to her or what she does I could care less.

Bad Hand Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 I wonder if the crowd was chanting "killer" or "kill her"?
Dawg Hair, SASS #29557 Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 This has always been a media show. Living in So. Fla. I can tell you most people here didn't care a fig about the trial. Yes, it was shocking that the victim was the little girl and most people assumed that Anthony would be found guilty, but, the prosecution blew it! Now nobody talks about it. We go on. This is similar to the Weather Channel during non-hurricane season. They try to keep the thngs alive by re-living Andrew, Katrina, Wilma, Charlie etc.

Aunt Jen Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 +1 but I would like for whole truth to be revealed...likely never happen. As to what happens to her or what she does I could care less. Yes. But now that she's been acquitted, and if she did it, would she be able to legally tell the truth about it, now, without penalty? Because she could make more money on a book/movie deal, I'm guessing. But then might she make up something to sound like she did it (for the money) even if she didn't, if money were a motivation? AJ

AJ Didn't work out well for OJ. There is at least one case where a man was acquitted of raping and murdering his neighbor, but later convicted of perjury after souvenir photos of the crime were recovered. A symbolic, perhaps hollow victory...

A symbolic, perhaps hollow victory... Yes, but Casey didn't take the stand...... I don't know if there was a deposition or something that could result in a penalty if she later confessed, or "confessed." AJ

Yellowhouse Sam # 25171 Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Whatever the case, a child should not have had to suffer!
Aunt Jen Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Yes. It's a horrible tragedy. How someone could do things like that, I'll never know. AJ
Bama Red Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Whatever the case, a child should not have had to suffer! Amen to that!
Gunner Gatlin, SASS 10274L Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Whatever the case, a child should not have had to suffer! Correct. I take comfort in knowing her murderer will be judged again. I'll leave it at that. GG ~
Clay Mosby Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 whether she did it or not, the legal system ran its course, she was aquitted, case over, time to move on. I'm concerned that America has become a place where the media focuses on the negative and mostly ignores the positive.
Noz Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 She could be sued by the grandparents for "wrongful death". OJ was and the family won.
Utah Bob #35998 Posted July 18, 2011 Author Posted July 18, 2011 She could be sued by the grandparents for "wrongful death". OJ was and the family won. Except nobody is sure they're innocent either. Helluva mess.
Irish Tom Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 She could be sued by the grandparents for "wrongful death". OJ was and the family won. The problem with that is, I believe the Grandparents were involved, or at least know the truth and tried to cover it up.I doubt that they will suit.
Bad Hand Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 She could be sued by the grandparents for "wrongful death". OJ was and the family won. OK, where would they find a lawyer who would take the case, who would pay him/her? OJ had lots of $$, she's broke, even if you get a judgement, she's a high school drop out who with her notoriety can't get a job flipping burgers. Even if the jury found in her parents favor, they couldn't sentence her to jail, which is what everyone wants. It's over, she'll mess up again, but for now, move along, nothing more to see here.

Unfortunately. there are plenty of lawyers who would take the case simply for the publicity.

Allie Mo, SASS No. 25217 Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Sorry to go OT...OJ killed Nichole. I read it in the Enquirer (beauty shop visit today). He confessed to one of Oprah's producers. BTW, it was self defense.
Allie Mo, SASS No. 25217 Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 That really wasn't funny. It was ridiculous that we would believe he had to cut her to shreds to defend himself.
