Interesting argument on the set of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

I found this on www.leevancleef.com: "As men are apt to do, an argument broke out between Eastwood and Van Cleef as to who was the faster draw. Lee won the argument, being clocked by frames on the film reel."

Still a Clint Eastwood fan though.

Van Cleef never got the recognition I thought he deserved. But like you, I'll always be a Clint fan, and not just his westerns....

Not sure where the blame would go but he did do some stinky foreign movies. A couple or several movie tough guys were able to make the cheap stuff pay off later but he just didnt make the transition with them. He certainly could play the part of a tough guy as good as any???
