Big Jake1001
I have flown to Hawaii and Az with guns from Calif. Check each Airline for their rules. I have found it much easier to wear the Cowboy Boots and Hat and Elk-skin Jacket on the plane than to pack and check them, too bulky to pack and too many bags to check. Once on the plane remove boots, hat, coat and store overhead. Guns should be packed in a STRONG case, cuz Migilla Gorilla will slam them around. I ended up in Hawaii with a bent ejector rod housing. The rear sight of the gun next to it got slammed into it. Some Airlines make you show them the guns at the counter, that they're not loaded. That is a sight...A 6'6" 400 lb. cowboy in boots, hat, fringed Elk coat showing dumb clerks unloaded shotguns in the airport. You can put your ammo in a tool box with a padlock, but they have to be in factory type boxes, not loose. reloads are OK if in plastic boxes.Call first about how many lbs. of ammo. Just sayin' Big Jake
