4 H Shooting Sports National Invitational

Gumbo Joes mom---Congratulations to Gumbo Joe, he placed 6th in Air Pistol Silhouettes and 6th Overall. The Air Pistol team placed 4th in Rapid Fire Bullseye, 3rd in Silhouette, 1st in Slow Fire Bullseye, and 3rd Overall. The 4 H Shooting Sports National Invitational was held in San Antonio, TX last week. The other teams which are .22 rifle, .22 pistol, muzzleloader, archery, hunting, air rifle and shotgun did well also. Team Louisiana came in 3rd Overall after Texas and Missouri. We are all so proud of our shooters especially the .22 pistol kids. They had to get a look at the real world when on Thursday after they had finished their third day of competition while eating lunch 6 of the .22 pistols, ammo, spotting scopes,other shooting supplies and 2 cameras were stolen out of the vehicle and to make it worse 5 of the 6 pistols were loaned to the three girls on the team. Needless to say we did not get a good impression of that city and from what the cops told them this is a pretty common occurance in San Antonio. Are we correct with that impression or not?
