I use the one size for all 38's, 45's and 44-40 will work with the same conversion kit 45 ACP The 45 Cowboy will use the 45's ramp and the 45 acp tube ( my terminology may be off from theirs ) If your happy with the 550 and dont want to spend the extra on the 650 then yes it is good. Awful Close Posted June 10, 2011 Share Posted June 10, 2011 Have had mine for 4 years now. It works flawlessly (as usual for Dillon) Vastly increases output. Would recommend only 2 things: Purchase a 3/16 BALL-END allen wrench or screwdriver style of at least 6 inches long to do the platform alignment. Either grow another arm or have a helper to hold the shell pusher back while you try to attach the pusher assembly. I used those zip type wire ties and anchored it to one of the 3 screws on the assembly. Don't forget that the small vs large case feeder plates are not determined the same way primers are. 38 special uses the LARGE plate. You will enjoy it.
