Mosey N Sloe Posted June 6, 2011 Share Posted June 6, 2011 ....in a full case of 3f with a heavy crimp ....in a 240 gr swc bullet ....600 loaded rounds is a good start ....smokeless powder is a passing fad ....if you must use filler, then use cream of wheat cause grits is edible ....in the 44 cause it don't say magnum after 45 ....in the cowboy way ....and the power of the prayer posse ....I also believe it's about time for me to start and finish a story on here. Alpo Posted June 6, 2011 Share Posted June 6, 2011 Just a minor point, but if you're going to use black powder, the "magnum" stamped into the head is irrelevant. The 45 is the same length, but is larger in diameter, so will hold more powder, and it uses a heavier bullet. A full-load 45 Colt with black is stronger than a full-load 44 magnum with black.
