Grizzly Dave
UB, yesterday we drove from home in the Denver area to Colorado Springs and back for my sister in law's birthday party. It was so hazy that is was kind of surreal.
Forty Rod SASS 3935
Bob, are you "fire proof" where you are? I realize the fires aren't that close yet, but I'm just askin'...

Not exactly but better than a lot of folks in the hills in California. I do have a metal roof and no brush close to the house but there's no guarantee. Iron Pony
Talked to the folks last night, they are about 45 miuntes south of Albuquerque, and both commented on the smell of smoke and some light haze. Dad has a real good nose and determined quickly it was outside not inside. Hope the folks in the fire service can get this under control but the drout isnt helping. Utah Bob #35998
The SW winds are howling today. You can easily smell the smoke and the view of the Blue Mts has disappeared. I'm gonna go take the flag down before it's shredded. Hope it's not blowing down there this bad. There's not much you can do with a fire when the wind is this strong. Just get out of it's way.
