Flint McCloud 3103L
Ms. Maggie and I were at a Cowboy BBQ yesterday and the host (Boothill Bandit) was watching the World Clock until it hit Midnight in England... Then he said a few words about D-Day and we had a moment of silence and then raised out glasses... Very few dry eyes in sight... Gunner Gatlin, SASS 10274L
Yup - still remember the feelings from some of the stories we heard when we visited the American cemetary at Normandy back in '85......sacred ground to say the least. Imagine if that operation had failed or we retreated....just those scenarios that pop intio the mind of 'what if' is enough to know the importance for success on that fateful day and those afterward. Buffalo Creek Law Dog
My son was at Juno Beach this past April and he brought me back a vial of sand and a small sea shell he found on the beach. Juno Beach was tasked to two Brigades of the 3rd Canadian Division supported by sea and air power by the RCN and RCAF. Lest we forget
