Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 (edited) I've noticed our mean, tough, fighting machines are almost universally suckers for kittens, dogs, and little kids. It's positively shameful! I wouldn't have it any other way. Edited May 31, 2011 by Forty Rod SASS 3935 Quote

Snake River Clay SASS #34984 Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 When I was stationed in Germany a cat would come in the window to sleep when it was cold. I never fed him, just let him sleep there. He'd get me in trouble during barracks inspections. Quote
Holden A. Grudge Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 We had a cat that would hang out in front of my door in Iraq. Was good for keepingthe mice and other critters away and beat the heck out of the guys who felt the need to trap and keep a camel spider as a pet. Also had a fox family that would wonder over from time to time looking for left over food from our occaisional BBQs. Some of my guys who had guard duty on an ammo dump adopted a few dogs that hung out around there. Unfortunately the occupational health officer didn't aprove and the dogs were taken (to be destroyed) almost had a mutiny over that one. Quote
