Gunner Gatlin, SASS 10274L
Don't know if you have Brownell's whole gun screw 'kit' but it's worth it. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=41571/Product/MAGNA_TIP_reg__SCREWDRIVER_SETS GG ~
Garrison Joe, SASS #60708
The widest they carry in their standard Magnatip bits is the 080-360-330, which is 0.360 " wide and 0.030" thick blade. This covers about 60% of the width of the cap. If you want one that fits all the way across, contact (email) Barley Pop Bill (SASS member, doesn't read the Wire much, though) for a great 3/8 drive full-width bit that he machines. Cat's meow. Good luck, GJ

J-BAR #18287
Being crude and cheap, I made my own; I epoxied a 1/2 inch piece of hacksaw blade (teeth filed off) into a 3/4 inch dowel. Works fine and doesn't take up much space in the guncart...
Roughneck Rod
i use a modified mossberg flat shotgun choke tube wrench. it works great plus gives you alot of leverage without messing up the screw head.
Lonesoms Al SASS37893
There's a couple companies making a wrench just for the magazine tube screw. I bought one at Winter Range and the other company has an ad in the Chronicle. Seems to work o.k. on the screws I've already loosened from the factory so I can't say how good it works on the really tight ones but the guy I bought it from said it worked good for them too. Lazarus Longshot, SASS #44254 Life
While not a bit, but a separate tool, this works great, even on rifles straight from the factory: http://www.uniquetek.com/site/696296/product/T1380 The tool gives you plenty of leverage. Billy Boots, # 20282 LTG-Regulator
Bought one at Winter Range like Al mentioned from Ol # 4 (Desperado bullets). Neat tool.
Smithy
While not a bit, but a separate tool, this works great, even on rifles straight from the factory: http://www.uniquetek...6/product/T1380 The tool gives you plenty of leverage. As Lazarus mentions above, the UniqueTek wrench is tops for getting the job done even on guns straight from the factory. Well worth the investment. Also, UniqueTek carries quite a few products of interest to the cowboy shooter that are worth taking a look at. They also bought out a serious amount of remaining inventory and I believe "design" rights to the late CartWright business enterprise, maker of the Little Sky 4 gun cart and the Big Sky 6 gun cart seen at so many ranges. Give them a look and certainly pick up an end plug wrench. Smithy.
