this has recalled to mind the bit of humor  recorded in the early 1960 I append below... Is everything to be found on the internet these days?

I recall reading a history of the end of the first 1000 years AD where Europe was full of predictions of the End of the world in the year 1000 All these predictions make the last line of the bit appended below rather apt I think

turns out that a full video version was done about 15 years after that recording was made for a fundraising benefit

I saw him on the news this morning, he said the judgement has happened, I guess on Sat..But the actual end of the world would happen in Sept. or Oct..I didn't hear exactly which..

I didn't hear him say anything about when the good folks was all gonna leave..

Strange days, indeed..

GREAT video, by the way! :lol:B)

What he forgot to add was that Noah worked on the Ark for 120 years, then divide for the 40 days and nights that it rained, then calculate the squareroot of the 40 years that Israel wandered in the wilderness. See??? Ummm...did I forget any others??????

For us Christians, we are supposed live in readiness for Christ's return at any time. The Lord said, Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not (Luke 12:40). His return could be today; could be in another thousand years. So another error Mr. Camping is making in addition to thinking he knows the hour to now be October 21st, he is removing the expectation that Christ's return could be today.

And it almost happened. The farmers figured that since the end of the world was coming, there was no reason the break their backs putting in another crop.

Thousands died in the subsequent famine in 1001.
