Tornado still on the ground headed East. People hearing crys for help in Joplin under debris. Hit there maybe 20 minutes ago. Over 20 semi's flipped on I-44. Lord protect especially the children. Appears to be lots of damage but no real serious injuries. Henry p.s. Which is east of Joplin. And the direction of the storm. She did not know about it. BUT she does now. She will be watching to see if it comes close to her. They are saying the largest twister to hit the area in 30 years! Prayers up for everyone everywhere dealing with the devastation and loss. Noz Posted May 23, 2011 Share Posted May 23, 2011 I live in Verona, about 4 miles south of the storm track. This looks to be a real bad one. Death count will go up as debris is moved. Still looking for survivors. 116 dead and 17 live ones pulled out yesterday. Still a lot of "missing". About 40% of a city of 55,000 destroyed.
