Guest diablo slim shootist
Seems like a good day for reloading and I've got a question hope someone can answer. The lee second edition says: For lead bullets:45 colt 180 grain tightgroup 6gr 900fps tightgroup 6.9 1020fps 200grain tightgroup 6.5 900fps tightgroup 7.7 1050 fps I always think that as the weight of the bullet goes up the charge in grains goes down. Can someone straiten me out on this or is the book wrong Thanks for your 2cents in advance! JD Trampas, SASS # 55781
According to Hodgdon reloading center for 45 colt: 180 grain RNFP for tightgroup 6.0 to 6.9, 200 grain with tightgroup 6.5 to 7.7, 250 grain RNFP with tightgroup 5.0 to 6.2 Looks as the Lee book is spot on, guess it pays to have several re-loading books and checked the web site for the powder being used All for now JD Trampas
