Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933 Posted May 10, 2011 Share Posted May 10, 2011 You need to remember there are three versions of the .357 bolt. The oldest ones used a small diameter pin to retain the firing pin extension. The newer "old" style used a larger pin. These are no longer made. The new/current production bolts have a retention plate to retain the firing pin extension. If you have either of the old style you'll have to buy a kit and replace the bolt and firing pin extension.
