Okie Sawbones, SASS #77381 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 So what do you do during the second wettest March on record, and the coldest, wettest April on record in Olympia, WA? RELOAD! I just now finished up with 5,400 rounds of .45 and 4,900 rounds of .38. That ought to hold me for a couple of weeks. So did you get your reloading chores done for the upcoming summer shooting?

I just seem to fire them off as soon as they're crimped! Hazard of shooting all year long. Not rubbing it in.

We shoot all year long as well -- we just grow webs between our toes. You should see Badger. He looks like he has swim fins on.

Nope, I reload with my best friend, and we are BEHIND.. lol.. He is sitting up a Dillon, and we might have to use the RCBS to get ready for Ambush at Mill Creek... I shot on Easter, he did not.. but he will shoot the monthly match before Mill Creek and I have plans that weekend family and a friend coming to visit from CO. So... we need some reload fairys.. lol.. I help, but i am not as good as a guy at it.. no doubt about it.. But trying does count, right? lol
Okie Sawbones, SASS #77381 Posted May 3, 2011 Author Posted May 3, 2011 But trying does count, right? Yes, yes it does.
Deja Vous Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Yes, yes it does. So, how long can I just try before you call me a dizzy chick? lol

No matter how many times I whop him on the head, he just refuses to understand subtleties.

Whiskey Business Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Well, thanky for the suggestion. Try and try again, I'm no quitter!
Deja Vous Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 That's what I keep telling Bucky! No matter how many times I whop him on the head, he just refuses to understand subtleties. Well, he is just a friend, so i can't even shoot him with my water gun yet.. lol...
Grumpy Old Man Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Mistake number one -- get a board harder than his head. Try ironwood. My wife says there ain't nothin harder than my head.
Chickasaw Bill SASS #70001 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 OS If I was to reload now , what would I do later ?????? I use the wet and clod days to cast lead , keeps the shop cooler . Now to find more wheel waights . CB
Okie Sawbones, SASS #77381 Posted May 3, 2011 Author Posted May 3, 2011 My wife says there ain't nothin harder than my head. I be;ieve a lot of us hear that!

Now to find more weights. CB I hear that wheel weights are really difficult to find. One of my pards here in WA lost his last source.
Grizzly Dave Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Shoot year round in these parts, but I did load up all my brass at one point this winter, and now I have a bunch waiting to be loaded again. Next match I need to get some primers and lead and I'll be set for a while again. I don't yet load shotshells, so had to buy some today. Wallyworld only had 6 boxes of AA "featherlites" so I bought all of them, that will last me a month or two with what I had left.
Charlie Whiskers Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Did all of mine for a while.Up here in Montana during our balmy winter months, there's not much to do other than shovel a lot of this "global warming white cr@p".So I got busy and reloaded enough to hopefully last all of this season and into half of next as well.3700 38's...450+ rounds of 44-40 and 32 boxes of shotgun to go with the shotgun I had done before that. Now after just coming back from a 5 week Az and Nv shooting binge with a pard,I have 700+ 38's and about 8+ boxes of shotgun sitting there whining to be reloaded.Think I'm gonna ignore them for a while.
