Flying W Ramrod
Our chapter of the Ancient and Honorable Order of E Clampus Vitus, the El Viceroy, Marquis de Branciforte 1797, just received permission, after 14 years, to plaque the site of one of the last Bull and Bear fight arenas in California. The last fight was July 13, 1867 and, after the bear won four times, escaped back to the coastal mountains. I'd like an e copy of the Chronicle story to share with the good folks at the Santa Cruz Historical Preservation Commission, the Santa Cruz Parks and Recreation Commission and our Redshirt brothers online. If you're interested, the plaque dedication will be Saturday June 25 at San Lorenzo Park, Santa Cruz Ca. Thanks in advance.
