Diamond C Slim, SASS #69188
Picked up a cartridge lifter for my 45 Colt Marlin Cowboy Special. I got the wrong one. The one I got was for a 32 (my Fault). My 357 Marlin was developing a hiccup so I installed it and it worked well. I just had to relieve the rear of the lifter to allow the loading gate to open easier. I tried some short 38 specials with no problems. I then tried empty 38 cases no problem, 38 long colt no problem,38 short colt no problem. It will now feed cartridges OAL as short as 1.135 inches. What a lucky mistake. P.S. my 357 was made in 1979 so new ones may be a little different.

Widder, SASS #59054
Ya oughta change your alias to LUCKY Diamond C. Slim..... I studied that stuff for a couple weeks, talked to a few pards about timing issues, angle feeds, etc...... and then I had to create a 'timing curve' for the C45S and .45 Colt to run interchangably. And now you've managed to 'get r dun', as Festus would say: "without even squinchin an eyeball". My heartiest Congratulations. Sounds like you got a good rifle. ..........Widder
