Billy Bates has done several pieces for us and I am always pleased.

:FlagAm:

Jim Downing is another first rate pard and has also done engraving for us.

You can't go wrong with either craftsman.

I've seen Aspen Filly's work, it's amazing, and she's a heck of a nice gal to boot!

YES she is!

She did my wife's NMVs while we were attending/shooting the "Q" in Forsyth, Mt. last year. Plus, 'Filly was shooting the match too. She also did a flask for me all the while we were in Forsyth.

She is a VERY GOOD shot with her Sharps ;)

Not many folks know that she has a Masters Degree in art :o

Cheers,

LG

I couldn't choose between those two  So I have some revolvers by Jim

Downing and some rifles and a pair of revolvers by Aspen Filly. Both are top notch! and really fine

people as well.

Jim Downing and Aspen Filly have done all the engraving on my guns. Run 'n Iron in NE has done all my black chrome finish and gold in the engraving on my guns. They are so pretty they'd win best dressed gun contest hands down - or off my guns!

Chantilly

Here's an updated link to Billy Bates. Something that is not shown on his web site much is engraving without the black added, but here are some photos of my pistols that do not have the black. For anyone that don't know, Billy Bates is a SASS shooter. Alias is Graver Bill.

Jim Downing did one of my OMV's that I am slowly turning into a BBQ gun. He even repaired the hand screw that had bound up and bent.

I just bought a Win 1894 on Gunbroker that was made in 1907, used by a grandfather in the Mex Rev (under Diaz) and left in the white since the 1980's when the seller's father intended to ahve the gun refinished. I hope to have this carbine engraved with somethign about its history and refinished. Mr. Downing will be the first person that I call.
