Captain Woodrow Cahill, SASS # 54363
Jim Downing does outstanding work. Watched him do some pistols at Guns of August and his work is incredible. A friend of mine had his Colts done by him - now they're too pretty to shoot.

Deacon Will
http://www.angelfire.com/al/billybates/ Billy Bates has done several pieces for us and I am always pleased. Jim Downing is another first rate pard and has also done engraving for us. You can't go wrong with either craftsman. Deacon

She did my wife's NMVs while we were attending/shooting the "Q" in Forsyth, Mt. last year. Plus, 'Filly was shooting the match too. She also did a flask for me all the while we were in Forsyth. She is a VERY GOOD shot with her Sharps Not many folks know that she has a Masters Degree in art Cheers, LG

Shootn Newton & Chantilly
Jim Downing and Aspen Filly have done all the engraving on my guns. Run 'n Iron in NE has done all my black chrome finish and gold in the engraving on my guns. They are so pretty they'd win best dressed gun contest hands down - or off my guns! Tom Bullweed
Jim Downing did one of my OMV's that I am slowly turning into a BBQ gun. He even repaired the hand screw that had bound up and bent. I just bought a Win 1894 on Gunbroker that was made in 1907, used by a grandfather in the Mex Rev (under Diaz) and left in the white since the 1980's when the seller's father intended to ahve the gun refinished. I hope to have this carbine engraved with somethign about its history and refinished. Mr. Downing will be the first person that I call.
