Andrew Quigley SASS #32802
Howdy pards Got a cousin-inlaw that has one of these ol' Beligum made DA Colt copies called a Cowboy Ranger. Think the hand is or possibly the hand spring is broken as the cylinder won't rotate. Anyone know where he can find parts? I've looked on Numrichs and they don't have any and done the Yahoo search without sucess. So, if ya got any ideas I'm listening.
Doc Fill 'Em 67797
He will probably have to make something from another gun work on his. Since it is a Colt copy, would the Colt parts work? A gunsmith that knows Colts would be able to tell. Sometimes parts have to be made or adapted to fix the old, uncommon guns.
Andrew Quigley SASS #32802
It looks like a Colt but it is a double action. He had a gunsmith make a hand for it before but I think the hand spring is what broke.
Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933
Most of those Belgium Cowboy Rangers are not copies of a Colt. They may look "western" but they aren't copies of anything American. Most were cheap and finding or making parts is a crap shoot. Your best bet is to make a shadow box with some cards and dice and some other western themed items, shove in the gun and hang it on the wall.
