1950's cars

90%...the only problem I had was with some of those Plymouth/Chrysler/Dodge/DeSoto look-alikes. Most of these cars pre-date me, but they were the beaters we could afford in high school. Man, could they float; couldn't handle worth a darn, and wallowed in the turns, but they were almost like a boat at highway speeds. Steel thick like a SASS target; rubber floor mats; huge steering wheels, often with clear sections and chrome horn rings; short nap wool upholstery, like Grandad's lounge chair; and chrome everywhere. Technology may be great, but nostalgia still rules the heart.

Growing up in the 50's was the best time in American history for gearheads like me. I got 100% and know these cars better than some people know their kids. Just sayin'

I'll need to duck when I say this but all of them predate me. I do remember seeing some of them at school though.....

I'm with you. That's why I like the good old US iron. Daddy wasn't into cars. It's a taste I acquired.

OK, Kris talked me into playing, here's how I did...

You got 46% (22 right out of 48). The average score is 73%

Dave,

If it makes you feel any better, I scored exactly the same thing as you did.

I have an excuse, though.

I was born in 1970, so all the cars were already classics by the time I was old enough to crawl, much less drive.

I'm ten years older than you, but still those cars were before my time for the most part.
