Hondo Dan, SASS #45041
Used grits for a long time but found it to be quite dusty. Tried amaranth grain...which is the size of fine bird shot (maybe 8 or 9) and flows very nice...but does not compress well and wants to push bullet nose back out. Right now I'm using millet...flows nice....compresses nice and is clean. Hondo Dan
Branchwater Jack SASS #88854
I was asked one time, so I just thought I would post here to clarify... Your grits should be uncooked.

Garrison Joe, SASS #60708
Grits with plenty of butter, and you MIGHT not need any lube on those Big Lubes! GJ Seriously, I moved away from using grits to charcoal when I had lots of problems with my Lee AutoDisk measure clogging up on the fine powder in grits. Much better operation with fine mesh activated charcoal.
