Iron Pony
Just passing this along in case anyone out there needs one and doesnt have a local supplier. Was in Riley's of Hooksett NH today and saw a new Uberti '73 in 44-40 on the rack. Had the pistol grip stock and 20" bbl. Price, IIRC was $1250, which appears to be about full boat retail. Not sure what source it came through i.e. Taylors/EMF/Cimarron etc. Havent needed to buy one in a couple years but figure like their handguns Uberti rifles are probably catch as catch can. Three Foot Johnson
Really? We lined up ten cartridges alongside the tube and there just isn't any way there could be room enough left for the end cap, spring, and follower... I'll be darned, I just checked Uberti's Web site and they say 10+1 in the 19" barreled .44-40... I might have to pick it up myself!
