Carolina Sorillo
I know it's a loooong shot but..... I'm looking for a specific serial #. If your serial# is 040441$$ with the exception of the 2 $'s please let me know. If your last 2 digits match what I'm looking for I would like to purchase the rifle from you. Thanks, C.S. Adirondack Jack, SASS #53440
With a Marlin, year of manufacture is first two digits subtracted from 100. Mine are 00 and 02 I think, made right around the turn of the last century.
Grizzly Dave
Well, I bought mine new and slicked up right from Jimmy Spurs about 3 years ago now, so I'm pretty sure it ain't the one yer lookin for. Don't think I'd want to sell it anyway.
Red Gauntlet , SASS 60619
I got mine at Big 5 when they used to sell 'em for $325. Should I check?

Captain Woodrow Cahill, SASS # 54363
Just out of curiosity, why the specific serial #? Are you trying to recover a stolen gun, or is this a family heirloom that somehow got away?
Carolina Sorillo
It is a 1996 manuf. No it's not a stolen rifle nor is it an heirloom. I recently found out Marlin accidentally made some duplicate #ed rifles and mine happens to have a mate out there somewhere. So I'd like to bring'em back together. Like I said, I know it ain't gonna be easy. C.S.

Rev Willy Dunkum, SASS # 61027
My CAS gun was made in '02 and serial number differs greatly from yours, my antique Marlin only has 5 digit serial number 108XX.
