The Charcoal KID, SASS# 31523 Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Hello All; Can anyone recommend a good gunsmith who specializes in Single Actions? I need to have a cylinder fitted for a conversion project (R & D) that I have been working on. I live in Everett WA and anything within 2 hours drive would work for me. Thanks
Driften Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Hey and while people are at it... what good cowboy gunsmiths are in the general western washington area.... (so answers for the Kid and beyond )
Cascade Charlie, SASS # 48668L Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Contact The Elder Katie (I'm pretty sure her husband works on guns) or Mudflat Mike. Either one will steer you in the right direction. Cascade Charlie
Mudflat Mike, SASS #20904 Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 What Charlie said, we're very, very short of gunsmiths around here, Curt Jennings if the best (Elder Katies husband)
Holden A. Grudge Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Cedar County Sheriff slicked up my '92 real good. Not sure if he does any gunsmithing outside of that. He posts here from time to time so you might wanna give him a try. I heard tell of a good gunsmith somewhere in the Burien area but don't remember a name right off.
Contingent Fee McGee, #71885 Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 I have had very good -- and relatively fast (as in a couple of weeks' turn around time) -- results on several guns (1911 pistols, single action revolvers, percussion revolvers and a Winchester 97 shotgun)from Bruce Jackson, AKA One-Eyed Jack Hammer, at The Marksman gun store in Puyallup. The address is 11003 Canyon Road East, Puyallup, WA 98373. The telephone number is (253) 535-4363. I picked up a repaired shotgun from him yesterday. He will not be in all next week, but he is there today.
