Ambush at Mill Creek

:FlagAm With true sincerity, I do apologize for the negative feelings my post generated. That was not my intent at all and what had been written here came from my heart.

I would like to thank all the persons responsible for putting on such successful and entertaining matches at The Cowboys. Your efforts are truely appreciated.

I will always have fond memories of the good times we shared with you all there and I wish all of you the best in your future efforts.

Respectfully,

Chas B. Wolfson

CBW,

I truly appreciate the heartfelt tone of this missive. But I think there are some wires crossed somewhere and it's not from The Cowboys Side of the fence. We did have to cancel last month's match and the BP Night shoot we had planned. Since then I have contacted the range to see if we could use another Saturday night in April for the BP Night shoot. I was informed that the range was booked on the Saturdays in April, but we could do it the night before our April monthly match. The problem is that it is the night before Easter Sunday. The Cowboys will shoot on Easter Sunday as we cannot re-schedule the match. I informed Youngblood of this and he took the info back to The Dammits and explained the situation. Youngblood called me earlier in the week and told me Pepper had declined doing it the BP night shoot in April, but wanted to plan a tribute at the Ambush which, I was told, was an idea embraced by The Dammits. I approved the idea on the spot. The Ambush at Mill Creek is our smaller annual match and with side matches on Friday, Casino Night on Friday, main match Saturday, Frederick Jackson Turner and Big Red Sky on Saturday, finishing the match Sunday followed by the awards, we just don't have the man power or schedule to host a BP Night shoot at The Ambush. It is not a personality conflict problem or a friction problem at all. Personally I have bent over backwards to accomodate this BP Night shoot. I have made repeated calls to the range, attended a meeting, made a lot of other calls. The BP Night Shoot is not going to happen because of a lack of trying on The Cowboys side of the fence.

I suggest you contact Youngblood or Marshal Phil DeGrave to get all the information.

I must note that I find it very interesting that you mention that you are a SASS member and a Dammit Gang member, but no mention of being a member of The Cowboys? Odd after all the glowing words and reviews you just acknowledged.

And although I know it was not your intention, but I kinda feel like you are throwing us under the bus on this and believe me, The Cowboys have done all they can do to accomodate this event. Sorry if you feel it is not enough.

Sincerly and Respectfully,

Sincerely and Respectfully,

I appreciate your work and support for what we are trying to do....

I understand and appreciate the difficulties of running the 'BEST CLUB IN SASS' in my humble opinion,

I have done everything I can to be sure everyone knows the BoD of the Cowboys have done everything they can to support the club and our little sub-culture....

Your efforts are appreciated and welcomed,

Please do not imagine for a moment that the DAMMITS do not welcome and appreciate what 'The Cowboys' have done and continue to do...

After all we are ALL part of the same family....

The BoD has followed 'The Cowboy Way' here, and thank you.

Captain Jake, and members of the Board and all The Cowboys,

Please accept my thanks for all the hard work and effort you all have put in to making this event happen. I know we all want this to happen, and at a time when everybody can participate, and when it can be worked into the schedule without causing a huge distraction from all the other events. We appreciate the continued effort, I know this will happen when the time is right. I'm back in town so if there is anything I can do to help please let me know.

Your humble (sometimes) servant,

MPDG
