Judge Roy Bean shoots his first match in 2-1/2 years

Recommended Posts

Judge Roy Bean, SASS #1, shot his first match in 2-1/2 years today. Recovering from a horrific battle with cancer, he has gained weight and strength, enough to drive to Founders Ranch from Houston by himself. Yesterday he took the Wild Bunch Action Shooting RO Course. Today he shot the 4-stage Warm Up match.

Photos are at: Journal of a Gypsy Cowboy, April 2011

He credits his recovery to the "mothering" Justice Lily Kate gives him.

Congratulations to the Judge and especially Justice Lilly Kate (Gatekiller) for getting the Judge through rough times. It's great to hear he is enjoying the sport he created for us all to enjoy. Harper you keep us all going.

Excellent!!!!! Way to go Harper. Now I gotta make the trip and come and see ya. It's been too long since badges #1, #1000, and #1001 have been all together in the same place. Just sayin'

Big Jake #1001 and glad Harper let me have that # to join SASS.
