Guest Jack Dragon, SASS #55746
I bought this about a year ago for a 40-110 Winchester project but decided to use a different action. Never fired or loaded, only out of the box a few times to admire. Has really nice wood and color casing. Barrel is 30 inches, weight around 11 pounds. Caliber is 50-90 Sharps, or 50-90 2 1/2. Twist is 1 in 24, so should make a fine long range rifle with around 600 grain bullets. Not recommended for tenderfoots. No sights. This caliber was the "Big Fifty" of the Buffalo era, and was alleged to be able to shoot through a buffalo at 800 yards. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n200/kz5a/1885%2050-90/18855090.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n200/kz5a/1885%2050-90/buttrtside.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n200/kz5a/1885%2050-90/buttleftside.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n200/kz5a/1885%2050-90/actrt.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n200/kz5a/1885%2050-90/actlt.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n200/kz5a/1885%2050-90/forert.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n200/kz5a/1885%2050-90/forelt.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n200/kz5a/1885%2050-90/modelnum.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n200/kz5a/1885%2050-90/boxend.jpg $1100.00 plus FFL and shipping cost. Local pick-up would be great. Located in Tyler, Texas Would also consider trades for 50's and 60's vintage ham radio gear.
