Buckey O'Neill , SASS Life #42761
Pit Bull Tex, The .38 WCF (i.e. .38-40) is a "40" caliber cartridge, nominal .401 sized bullet. Buckey
The Camarillo Kid
Sorry for the ignorance, but what exactly does "black powder frames" mean? Does that mean not designed to hold up to cartridge rounds? Or is it just a style?
Buckey O'Neill , SASS Life #42761
Sorry for the ignorance, but what exactly does "black powder frames" mean? Does that mean not designed to hold up to cartridge rounds? Or is it just a style? A "Black Powder Frame" SAA has the base pin held in by a screw like the early Colt SAA's had. Later the Colt SAA's base pin was held in by a spring-loaded cross-pin, i.e. "Cross-Pin Frame". The .38 WCF (.38-40) is a .40 caliber cartridge round. Parson John Tourmann, #67768
I don't shoot 38s. Wife does. Is the front sight the wider type, or the thin colt type. I got stuff for sale, if they don't sell before . Has the grips been stripped?
