Tenn. Outrider, SASS #2353 Posted April 3, 2011 Share Posted April 3, 2011 We have had another LEO killed in the line of duty. Yesterday at approximately 10:30 A.M. Sgt. Tim Chapin of the Chattanooga Poilce Dept. was killed in a running gun battle with an armed robbery suspect. A second officer was wounded and was treated and released, and six officers were put on administrative leave. The perp was also wounded and taken to area hospital. Sgt. Chapin was a 27 year veteran of the department...probably near retirement PRAYERS up for this downed officer and his family...also to the Chattanooga Police Dept.
