apache bill
Can somebody help me out here? I was in a local gun store today and they had a Beretta 1873 Renegade with a 20" barrel in .45 Colt for about $700.00... BUT it looked like it had a plastic fore end on it. Another customer was handling it so I never did get to actually hold it. Am I wrong about this or are they actually putting plastic fore ends on these rifles instead of wood? Cabalero Chuck
Yes you are wrong. No, the fore end is NOT plastic. The wood is very well carved and checkered which MIGHT be mistaken for a synthetic, but take my word for it, plastic is not any part of the make up of the fore end. The base of the recoil pad on the buttstock maybe, but not any of the wood.
